Vehicle
I will be competing in the Roadster Challenge with 'Erika,' a 2005 Mazda MX-5 NC with a 2.0 MZR LF engine. The engine has been modified with individual throttle bodies and a dry sump, exceeding the stock 160 hp. The vehicle retains the standard rear-wheel drive, but a sequential dogbox transmission has been retrofitted. As a result, 'Erika' weighs around 1100kg and has ample power.
The vehicle was originally developed for the Group 24h-Special and has been used in the Cup and Touring Car Trophy. Therefore, even though it is now being used in the Roadster Challenge as part of TimeAttack Germany, there is still a strong focus on lightweight construction, high agility, and compliance with DMSB and FIA regulations.
